Then, numerous pop stars began to collaborate with reggaeton singers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018), and Madonna worked with Maluma to create Medellin. Some reggaeton artists have criticized the shift to mainstream music in 2020. However, a brand new band, Rauw Alejandro, wanted to continue the growth and evolution of reggaeton.
