Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn. to 12 children from a poor family kids who would grow together eventually, learned very early how to get out of the difficulties she faced by using her rich and imaginative imagination. Before she learned to write and read Dolly Parton was composing her own songs. After 8 years of age, she was playing her first guitar. When she was 11 years old when she was 11, she began singing at Knoxville Tenn's local radio station. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a small independent label. Although she became an established local celebrity while at High School, she knew her dreams were bigger. She relocated to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to perform on his show syndicated by him from the beginning. Parton joined RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired in the year 1967. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton's song, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the top of the. #1 spot following their split. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
