Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many abilities, which included the ability to direct, act and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain.
